Bloodhound's Fang might be the single most beginner-friendly weapon in Elden Ring. It dodges for you, bleeds for you, and does great damage throughout the entire game.

Strategy & Tips

  • Bloodhound's Finesse (L2) is a built-in dodge + attack in one button
  • Press L2 to dodge backward, then press R2 to fly back in with an attack
  • This one move teaches you boss timing naturally — and it does great damage
  • When in doubt, just press L2. It solves most problems.
  • The bleed buildup procs passively — you don't need to think about it
