Margit is the first major skill check in Elden Ring. His delayed attacks are designed to punish panic rolling. These builds give you the best chance of beating him on your first try, even if you're new to Souls games.
Recommended Builds
#1: Bloodhound's Fang
Bloodhound's Finesse gives you a built-in dodge-attack that naturally counters Margit's timing.
Why it works: Press L2 and your character dodges backward, then press R2 to fly back in with a powerful attack. This single move teaches you Margit's timing while dealing great damage and built-in bleed.
#2: Reduvia Bleed
Reduvia's ranged blood blades let you damage Margit from safety while applying bleed.
Why it works: The blood blade weapon skill has more range than you'd expect from a dagger. Spam it from medium distance to apply bleed without risking Margit's delayed melee combos.
#3: Moonveil Magic
If you rush to get Moonveil before Margit, Transient Moonlight trivializes the fight.
Why it works: Get Moonveil from Gael Tunnel first (level 40-50). Then return to Margit with Transient Moonlight, which staggers him reliably and does massive damage from safe distance.
